Who is eligible to donate
Eligible contributors include individuals only (no company contributions) who are residents of Ontario. There is a contribution limit of $1,200.00 to any one candidate and the maximum total amount a contributor may contribute to candidates in the same jurisdiction is $5,000. All contributions are in Canadian funds.
An official receipt will be issued in the name of the contributor. Under the terms of the Municipal Elections Act, contributions cannot be refunded unless the official receipt is returned to the address supplied on the receipt.
